WellPetUSA respects the privacy of every individual who visits our Web site. This notice explains our online information practices. Because your privacy is important to us, we provide you with notice and choices about the collection and use of your information. Use of Cookies
We use cookies, small files that are sent to your Web browser and stored on your computer's hard drive, to improve our Web site's operation. Data Collection
We collect two types of information:

1. Standard Web server traffic pattern information. General traffic, site usage and length of stay information is collected and stored in our log files. This type of information is shared externally only on an aggregated basis and never specific to any given individual.

If you donate, for example, we may collect the following information: Name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and amount of donation. Personal information may be needed for certain optional online activities, such as donating to us, requesting information or participating in some other interactive process on our Web site. If you choose to make a contribution, the above described information is collected and we maintain a record of your contribution. If you participate in an online request, we may have to gather additional information in order to adequately respond. Data Use
We limit the use of information provided to us on our Web site to the following:

Internal Use. If you do not make a service request or donation or otherwise identify yourself, we will have no personally identifiable information about you. We will only use aggregate information derived, in part, from your use of our Web site to improve our site and our service to you.
If you provide personal information, we may enter your name into our constituent database and contact you in order to: complete voluntary surveys seeking feedback for quality and service improvement purposes; supply you with information regarding our programs and services; request voluntary time or monetary contributions to WellPetUSA; and/or request your participation in any WellPetUSA research studies.  We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us by e-mail. If your name is entered into the database, we may contact you as outlined above.

External Use. We occasionally make our constituent names and postal addresses available to other reputable nonprofit organizations. We have found this to be the most cost-effective way to increase our database of potential constituents and hope that you value the information they send you. Our list sharing is only available to a limited number of organizations for a limited time and it is not provided in a context that creates any connection to WellPetUSA. Other organizations will not have continued access to your name and address unless you choose to respond to their initial contact. We do not share e-mail addresses.

WellPetUSA occasionally hires other companies to provide limited services on our behalf. We will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service and prohibit them from using that information for any other purpose. We have relationships with companies that conduct charitable sales promotions that ultimately benefit WellPetUSA. We may pass your contact information to these companies so that they may ask you if you are interested in receiving their services. Your choice to use their services will benefit us and the amount of money we receive will be disclosed at the time you are contacted by them. You are under no obligation to respond and the companies are restricted from using your contact information for any other purpose. We may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the correct use of information, we maintain physical, electronic and administrative safeguards including encryption and the use of internal controlled servers. Our staff is educated about the importance of safeguarding your information and we are committed to holding them accountable for protecting your confidentiality. Our privacy policies apply only to your use of the WellPetUSA Web site. This site may contain links to other sites, including sites that have a special relationship with us. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This notice supplements our Online Privacy Statement and describes our practices for safeguarding personal information about the individuals who contact us and who we serve by various means.

General Collection of Data
When you support our organization by volunteering time or by making a donation of cash or property, we gather the following information from you: name, address, telephone number and method or amount of support. We then enter your name into our constituent database and contact you in order to supply you with information about our charitable programs and services, as well as events. We may also request voluntary time or monetary contributions in future contacts, as well as seeking completion of voluntary surveys seeking feedback for quality and service improvement purposes or to request that you take some call to action to assist us in furthering our programs.

We may make your postal or telephone contact information available to other reputable nonprofit organizations on a limited basis in exchange for support or for the addresses and telephone numbers of their constituents. We have found this to be the most cost-effective method of reaching additional potential constituents and hope that you value the information they send you. Your name is only made available to these organizations through third-party mailing or list agents for a limited time and use and it is not provided with information identifying you with WellPetUSA. We do not share e-mail addresses or health-related information.

We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf. Your choice to give or to use these services will benefit us. If you have provided us with health-related information, neither your name nor health-related information will be made available to third parties unless you consent to its use.

Aside from the above, we may disclose contact information we collect about you to third parties with your consent or at your direction.

V. YOUR RIGHTS
Access and Requests for Updates/Changes
Upon request, we will provide you with the contact information that we maintain about you. The description will be sent via regular mail, which we believe is the most secure method of protecting your privacy.
